Introduction

As you might have read our “How it all started?” writeup, we want to bring out a unique experience of art, code and crypto to you. Not just any NFT collection, but a several utilities attached to it.

Core Features

1. Aesthetic and Original Art: We draw and paint straight from our heart and souls where imagination takes us. Every art is unique and different. We touch your nostalgic spirit and make you relive in that moment. Hope you like our art and our adorable Pxys. Pxys got a big face and a small body and that's what make them look cute and sets apart. Everything is drawn on the same pixel scale. All the layers have the same pixel ratio. So, the art looks smooth and complete. And a small canvas of 130 x 130 pixels is what keeps our creative hat always on. We need to plan to fit all the accessories and traits in the small area which is so much fun to work and this is what makes the art pretty with all those colors mixing and jiggling in the small pixel estate. 😇
2. Community Driven: Pxy holders will define the governance around the ecosystem. They will get rewarded for every governance action they perform or simply get passive rewards for staking their Pxys. For every proposal or decision or an expense proposal from the Pxy Team or the community, Pxy stakers will vote and decide the direction of the project. This will contribute to improve transparency and decentralization.
3. Treasury Wallet: The sales proceeds of the initial Pxys sale will be staked in NNS for 8 years. Part of the daily rewards will be injected into treasury wallet and redistributed to Pxy stakers. And part of it will be restaked into NNS. More on this in further sections.
4. Utilities: Stake your Pxys to get rewards or engage to get rewarded more.
5. Utilities: Contribute to coding/programming articles, question and answers of Motoko/Rust front-end/back-end questions by solving a problem and giving working examples. And get rewarded.
6. Utilities: Create story driven digital arts/comics and get rewarded. ICPxy holders can contribute to Comic ideas. They can create or someone else can take the idea and create the comic. The holders will decide the comic creator by voting. And finally, the sales proceeds will be awarded to comic creator, part of it will go to idea creators, Pxy owners whose Pxys are used in the comic and to the stakers through the treasury.
7. Utilities: A small greeting Comics creation for a different occasion not necessarily in the story line of the original comic book series. And get rewarded the same way as original Comic series.
8. Royalty and Privilege: Holders will have additional privilege in all our future work and projects.
9. Royalty and Privilege: We will airdrop PxyPets, PxyToys and PxyHomes. The criteria needs to be worked out based on the supply and tokenomics o the pxys at the launch. They can collect it or sell it on a secondary market. Again, the sales commission will be injected to treasury wallet and redistributed to stakers.
10. Fun and Rewards: Drawing a random lottery and distributing prizes to winners in ICP. Commissions will go to treasury and will be redistributed to stakers.
11. Collaboration: Collaboration with other projects, promo and rewards in NFTs and ICP to keep the community engaged and attract new users to IC and the project.

We will do our due diligence when we brainstorm ideas on this topic. For now, we will remove it from our future plans.

4. Building Pxy planet metaverse and automatically assigning your PxyHouses as a plot on the land.

Wow! So much can be said easily but needs a lot of planning and work. That is why we thought it through hard and introduced few key entities which will pave a way for a clean, simple and effective ecosystem.

Eco System

The ICPxy Ecosystem is made of several entities which we will discuss below.

Here is the list of key things that make up the ecosystem:

ICPxy Rewards Engine

A rewards engine is a concept and soon going to be a canister that will govern the award rewards to the stakers. You will stake your Pxys and earn rewards while we work extensively to build ecosystem and create an engaging community introducing tools and bringing new innovations to IC community. You will also be rewarded for engaging or participating in voting of proposals and other fun activities and events.

You will receive the rewards as Pxy X points. Which will later be paid out in ICP on a pro-rate basis. More on this below.

Pxy X

Pxy X

Pxy X is the experience points you accumulate when you engage in the ICPxy ecosystem activities. The more you get, the more you will be rewarded with ICP. Tt’s not a token or the coin of any form. It’s simply an Pxy ecosystem experience points you will start to accumulate when you stake, participate in voting, and other ways of contributing which we will discuss further. When it's a payout time, the stakers will be paid out in ICP relative to their quantity of Pxy X points on a pro-rate basis.

Pxy X Machine

A Pxy X machine canister will generate as many as Pxy X points but the ICP is paid relative to your Pxy X points. The ICP is paid through the Pxyans Treasury.

Also, we don’t need to worry of token dilution, dumping the price as the Pxy X is not tied to any tokenomics or direct liquidity ICP pair. And this will not be a tradeable asset or a security on any open market. It's just points accumulation method that is local to the ICPxy ecosystem.

PS: When you accumulate certain Pxy X points over a long period of time and hit the new highest points record, that staker will have some additional OG benefits which we still have to brainstorm this idea.

Pxy Gas

Pxy Gas

Pxy Gas is the fuel that will help the ecosystem to regulate and avoid welcoming futile or bad actors.

You need a Pxy Gas to create a content such as asking a programming question or answering a question, creating a proposal, or some activity which, if not regulated, will create a chaos and spams.

Anyone can create a content in the Pxy ecosystem. Each of these activities need a gas that the user will spend on creating. Although not all the activities need gas to participate. Such as voting on the proposals.

You can buy the gas by exchanging it with ICP. Also, when you stake your pxys or signup with your web3, you will be initially allocated some gas automatically to get you started.

Buying gas by paying ICP will bring in additional ICP liquidity to main treasury which will be distributed to Pxy stakers at the time of payout. 100% of the gas purchase will go to the main treasury.

Pxy Gas Machine

Similar to Pxy X, there is no limit on how much gas the machine canister can generate. When a user buys gas, the gas machine will allocate some gas to the user and keeps track of all the gas the user spent to provide historical data for his/her reference. We haven’t thought through the units or rate of the gas. As we approach the development, we will do more on this and discuss the same with community.

ICPxy Team’s NNS Stake

90% of the Initial Pxy sales proceeds will be staked into NNS wallet with the dissolve delay of 8 years. We will not plan to dissolve anytime soon until 4 years of time. So, we will have a good supply of the rewards which can be injected into Pxyans Treasury for rewarding the stakers.

ICPxy Staker

ICPxy Stake

An ICPxy staker canister will allow you to stake all or some of your Pxys and receive the rewards in form of Pxy X points. And later paid out in ICP for the period you staked. You can stake as many as Pxys you want and also unstake as you wish. The rewards will be granted to the time period you staked your Pxys.

Formula to determine the ICP Payout based on your prorated Pxy X points.

Step 1: Determine the unit value of Pxy X.

Unit Value = Total ICP available in ICPxyans Treasury at the time of payout / Total prorated Pxy X points from all the stakers.

Step 2: Pay each staker based on relative to their prorated Pxy X.

ICP Payout = prorated Pxy X * Unit value of Pxy X

Example: Lets say there are 5000 stakers. And they have accumulated 20000 prorated Pxy X. The total ICP in the ICPxyans treasury is 1000

Unit Value = 1000 / 20000 = 0.05

Joe has accumulated 500 Pxy X. So, he will be rewarded (0.05 * 500) => 25 ICP for that payout period. And so on.

As you might have guessed it right, for the next payout period, we will consider only the Pxy X whatever Joe accumulates after the last payout.

Pxyans Treasury Wallet

This is the main treasury wallet which is used to reward all the Pxy stakers. The ICP is injected into this wallet through different ways. Let's list them out:

1. NNS wallet staked for 8 years. Collect the daily rewards and inject 70% into the treasury, 60% of remaining 30% will be restaked back to NNS to absorb price fluctuations in ICP and keep the project funded. And 40% of the remaining will be injected into ICPxy team treasury wallet for operational costs.
2. Commissions from all the secondary sales. The holders can sell the Pxys in the secondary market. And the 80% will be injected into the treasury. And 20% will be injected into ICPxy team treasury.
3. Commissions from all the secondary sales of other Pxy ecosystem NFTs. Other NFTs such as PxyPets, PxyToys, and PxyHomes will be airdropped and Comics will be sold. The holders can sell all these in the secondary market. And the 80% will be injected into the main treasury. And 20% will be injected into ICPxy team treasury.
4. Buying gas with ICP. Please check Pxy Gas section above. 100% will be injected into treasury by bringing in more liquidity to the treasury which will help increasing the rewards.
5. Commissions from Comics sales. We will cover this topic further. But the commissions from the comics sales of which 85% will be injected into the treasury and 15% will go into team treasury.
6. Commissions from Lottery DAPP. We will conduct periodic lotteries and 90% commissions will be injected into treasury and 10% to team treasury.

We will maintain the audit trail of all the payouts to encourage transparency and tracking.

ICPxy Team Treasury Wallet

Team treasury will be maintained for other expenses and expenditures. As discussed in the section above under the “Pxyans Treasury Wallet”, we will have different source where the ICP will be injected into team treasury. Some of the ways which the ICP will be used for the project are to reload cycles for the canisters to operate, additional costs for the storage in IC, need to find urgent Dev or Pixel Artist, Marketing, Promos, Mods and other unforeseen expenses. However, we will maintain the audit trail of all the spendings to maintain the transparency.

All the proposed plan and concepts above may change or be improved to fill the uncovered gaps, if any, as we approach close to the project development. But we will do this together with the community by seeking their advice and feedback.

Utilities

Pxy NFTs will come with a several utilities and not just a collective. Traders can trade, collectors can collect, and investors can collect and stake to get rewarded with the passive ICP.

Now let's dissect each of the utilities:

1. Staking your Pxys: Simply stake your Pxys in the ICPxy DAPP. You will accumulate Pxy X points which will be paid out in ICP at the time of pay-out period. We have covered this in the “ICPxy Staker” section above in detail.
2. ICPxy Comic Series: Community or the ICPxy team creates Comics. Put it on sale. Most of the sales proceeds will go to Comic creator, some to the stakers whose Pxys are used in the comics and some to Pxy stakers pool. 1% to 2% go to ICPxy team treasury. Please refer the flowcharts below for detailed explanation.

Just to summarize, not only Comic creators will be rewarded, but Pxy stakers, Pxy owners whose NFTs are used in the comics, Comic idea creators will also be rewarded.

Also, note that any point of time, there is only one Comic series implementation in progress. The next slot of Comic series creation will open up only after the completion of current comic sale and pay outs.

The Pxys which are only dedicated to being used for comics will never be listed for sale. This is solely for comical purposes only. A tracker will be implemented to let community monitor these sets of NFTs so the transparency is maintained.

3. Custom Comics / Greeting Comics: Similar to Comic series above, anyone can request for the custom comics on a different occasion. Such as for Christmas, Valentines Day etc. (or) any theme the user would like. We will go through the same process as Comics and reward all the participants. The only differentiation is that there will only be one greetings NFT ever minted. And also, the OP will have to pay the ICP when he/she proposes the request. The funds will be locked in the ICPxy canister and will be released once the greetings are implemented, minted and delivered.

4. Motoko/Rust IC related content creation: IC has a great level of documentation on the technical aspect such as creating and hosting up a canister, consuming NNS APIs, doing wallet transactions etc. But we still think there is lot of room to address custom user scenarios. This will immensely help IC adoption and attract new developers by giving them an abundant case studies and real-world examples proved and tested. After all, how better it would be if the first timers do not have to go through lot of these hoops figuring out stuffs.

Our vision is to allow any Pxy staker or non Pxy staker to submit questions or answers or both on IC related questions on programming and design of the Canisters, frontends, etc. The content will be reviewed by the community and approve them which will go to a reviewed section. The unreviewed content will stay there indefinitely waiting to be reviewed. The rejected questions will stay for few days and eventually be archived and later removed permanently.

We want to also reward the users who provide valuable answers. For any question, there could be multiple answers. But there could be only one accepted answer just something similar to Stack Overflow. Take a look at the flowchart below outlining the overall process.

5. Lottery DAPP: As name suggests, it's a fun way to participate in the lottery event. Pxyans can pledge some ICPs during the event. At some point, we will end the event and drawing will be performed. We have thought of different algorithms to conduct this fun lottery event. You can pledge as small as 0.01 ICP to participate in the event. And who knows when Uncle Joe wished you “Best of Luck” the last time may actually come handy this time😆.

We will plan to add and maintain different mix of lottery algorithms, but this is by far the interesting one where the drawing will happen based on the random trait selected and then Pxys with all those traits will be winners. So, it's actually a “Winners shares it all” methodology. Check the flowchart below for this lottery algorithm. We may revise this when we get into actual development, but this should give you an idea.

5. Other Utilities: We have planned to implement other utilities in future which we haven’t brainstormed or have the feasibility study yet. Some of them are

(a) One or more people can co-own an NFT. When you want to buy your dream NFT but it's not with in your financial reach, you can team up with your friends to co-own an NFT which will be controlled by one wallet inside the Pxy ecosystem of apps, while any decisions to sell or transfer or buy will have to undergo voting process among all the NFT holders. While this is an idea, we haven’t done any feasibility analysis. Just parking it here for now.

(b) Design a play to earn game where you can use your toys and pets nfts to play.

(c) Merch: Pxy stickers, Pxy toys, Pxy tees and hats.

(d) Building Pxy planet metaverse and automatically assigning your PxyHouses as a plot on the land. Everyone is talking about a metaverse, and we believe within couple of years, there may be more metaverse than the real person itself. While this is not in our best interest for now, our top priority is to build tools in IC to make use of the cutting-edge technology that will pave a way for our further developments. However, we may slowly think about this.

Enough of utilities, now let's get into most sought after, jaw dropping, a core component that inanimates the entire ecosystem. Its none other than Pxys themselves.

Pxys

Pxys are the habitants on their original planet Pxyrth which was destroyed due to the catastrophe caused by a science experiment. Read comics here for the origins. Eventually they have found a similar pixel planet inside the Internet Computer blockchain. We are helping them terra-form the planet. To read more about the planet, check this article.

Alright. Now, lets talk about NFTs. One of the hot topics our grandmas talk these days. 😅

We initially thought about minting 33333 Pxys because we are just so excited that our traits are so much that there can be several hundred thousand unique Pxys which can be generated. But when reality kicks in, its simply not sustainable on a long run and not healthy for the community.

Following section is under review and will be decided soon as we are seeing the problems with oversupply of the NFTs which will dilute the floor price. More on this soon.
